where did the dollar go

3 guys go into a hotel (dont ask why) to buy a room. the room costs 30$ a night, so they each pay 10$. the manager realises that its 5$ off sunday, so he gives the maid 5$ to give back to them. the maid decides that since she cant split it up evenly, she will keep 2 and give them back 1 each, so they each only ended up paying 9 dollars each. 9x3 = 27 + 2 she kept is 29. where did the dollar go.

I get it, the 3 guys did pay 27, and the 27 includes the 25 for hotel, and the 2 that the maid "stole."

there is no money left 3x10 is 30 right if its $5 off on sundays that means that all 3 paid 10 which made 30 but since the price was 25, 2 people ended up paying 10 and 1 got paid 6 jewed out out of 4 bucks. so in conclusion
10+10+6+4=30

well its a trick question coz : when she gave each guy 1 dollar they got in total 28 not 27 (25payd for room +3(1for each guy)and the maid get 2)so its 30 dollars but idk how is math so wong
